Loan agreement
You must read and agree to the terms of a loan agreement before borrowing an e-bike.
Terms and conditions for electric bike loans
When you borrow an electric bike from the Central Denmark Region, it is subject to the following conditions. The terms apply between you (the borrower) and the Central Denmark Region (the lender).
When you pick up the e-bike, you agree that we understand that you have read and accepted the terms in the loan agreement.
General information
The Central Denmark Region has entered into agreements with bicycle dealers and bicycle providers to lend out electric bikes in order to get as many employees as possible at the participating companies in Skejby in the Move You project to try out an electric bike as a means of transportation.
It's free to borrow the e-bike, but when you return the e-bike, you must answer a short questionnaire as a thank you for the loan, so we can evaluate whether lending e-bikes has an effect in terms of getting more people to cycle to and from work.
Age and employment
To borrow an e-bike, you must be at least 18 years old and employed by either Aarhus University Hospital, Central Denmark Region, VIA University College, SOSU, INCUBA, Vestas or NRGi and have a workplace in Skejby.
Cancellation
If you are prevented from picking up the e-bike during the period you have been assigned, please write to Lene Bek Jørgensen at lene.bek.joergensen@ru.rm.dk as soon as possible.
If you do not pick up the bike during the allotted period and if you do not notify us that you have been prevented, it will count as your test of the e-bike and you will not be allowed to get a new test period.
Pick-up and drop-off
You must arrange to pick up and drop off the bike within the allotted period. See more under your company about where the bike is located and how long you can borrow the bike.
Once you have been assigned a test period, you will receive more information by email about how to pick up and return the bike in practice.
Unavailable bike
If, contrary to expectations, the e-bike is not available for collection, the Central Denmark Region is not obligated to provide another bike. This can happen, for example, if the previous borrower has not returned the bike on time.
Contact Lene Bek Jørgensen at lene.bek.joergensen@ru.rm.dk to arrange a new loan period.
Use of the bike
You are responsible for driving in accordance with the Danish Road Traffic Act when using an electric bike loaned by the Central Denmark Region.
Before you start using the e-bike, read this quick guide with good advice on how to use the e-bike.
Always ensure that the bike is securely locked with both the attached bike lock and the chain lock. See more information in the quick guide.
We also encourage you to wear a helmet.
Puncture or damage
If the bike has a puncture or there is damage to the bike or charger, please contact Lene Bek Jørgensen at lene.bek.joergensen@ru.rm.dk, who will guide you on what to do.
Theft of the bike
To prevent theft, always use the bike's supplied lock. To avoid theft, it is good advice not to leave the bike overnight, for example at the train station and similar public places.
In case of theft, make sure to contact Lene Bek Jørgensen at lene.bek.joergensen@ru.rm.dk, who will contact the bike dealer and report it to the police.
The questionnaire
When you have borrowed an e-bike and returned it, you need to fill out a short questionnaire to let us know how your experience has been and whether the test has affected your transportation. You will receive the questionnaire by email within a couple of weeks after you have borrowed the bike.
